We are saddened to hear of the passing of Barnstable Town Councilor Felicia Penn. A lifelong resident of Hyannis, Felicia lived a life filled with achievement and service. In business, government and politics Felicia strove for her vision of what Cape Cod can be. The Barnstable Democratic Town Committee extends our condolences to Felicia's family and friends.

ABOUT US
We are a diverse group but we share a common goal. Our mission is to promote Democratic Values and to work together to make a difference. We believe that through civic engagement united by a common goal we can create lasting change.
WHAT WE DO
The Barnstable Democratic Town Committee is an official arm of the Democratic Party. There are more than 300 such committees in Massachusetts. We function under the basic rules of the Commonwealth and the Massachusetts Democratic Party and are "the boots on the ground" working to put Democrats into office.
MEMBERSHIP
Our meetings are open to the public and anyone is welcome to attend. Our Barnstable Democratic Town Committee is permitted 35 voting members. Members must be registered Democrats residing in the town of Barnstable and are elected every four years . We are also permitted to have an unlimited number of non-voting associate members who are friends and allies that participate in committees, discussions and actively support the work of the BDTC. When there are vacancies on the BDTC, existing members may vote on new members up to our maximum number. Our members, friends and allies include newcomers to the Cape as well as long time residents. We meet monthly to work on building a strong voter base, a base that knows what the issues are and can work for outcomes that benefit the whole community.
