About Us
The Barnstable Democratic Town Committee (BDTC) promotes the Democratic Party in the Town of Barnstable. We advance Party aims and build Party strength. As an official committee of local Democrats, we organize grassroots support to elect candidates. We work for Democratic success at the town, county, state, and national levels. We also run voter registration campaigns and host public forums to engage our community
Our mission is to find, elect, and support candidates who share our vision for a more equitable society. We believe that everyone deserves an opportunity to succeed, regardless of their background. We strive to open doors for all, regardless of race, ethnicity, age, economic circumstance, religious belief, sexual orientation or gender identity.
We opened a Democratic Party headquarters right in the heart of downtown Hyannis. We want you to be part of it!
Whether you have 2 hours a month or 20 hours a week, we have a volunteer spot for you. There is no "right" amount of time to give. Stop by once to see what we're about, or become a regular who knows everyone's coffee order. Both matter.

When: 7 days a week, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Come whenever works for you. What you'll do: Greet visitors and chat with folks who stop in. No experience needed, no pressure, and no long-term commitment required.
Think of it less like "signing up for a shift" and more like dropping by a place where good people are getting good things done. We'll have snacks. We'll have music. We'll probably have our dog there half the time.
